Funeral services for Rosa Elizabeth Bishop, 93, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Chris Allen will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Bishop passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Bishop, Dennis Bishop, Allen Creech, John Williams, Jonathan Michaels and Lougan Bishop.

Mrs. Bishop was born on May 9, 1928, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Albert Bishop and Mary Baggett Bishop.  On September 11, 1947, she married Lester Will Bishop, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 4, 2003.  Rosa retired as an inspector with the Torrington Company.  She attended Long Branch Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: sons, Lester Bishop (Vivian) and Charles Bishop (Rhonda), both of Cairo, GA; daughter-in-law, Lynn Bishop of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Lee Bishop (Hillary) of Waycross, GA, Kay Lusk (Carey) of Kennesaw, GA, Jennifer Moore of Cairo, GA, Kelly Bishop of Cairo, GA; Llarie Michael of Rutherfordton, NC, Lougan Bishop (Maren) of Madison TN; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; son, Larry E. Bishop; and siblings, Eunice B. Griffin, Julia B. Andrews, Franklin Bishop, Dollie Bishop Sadler, George Bishop, Edwin Bishop, Sadie Bishop, Juanita Bishop Stewart.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.
