Thomas Edward Singletary

Memorial services for Thomas Edward Singletary, 69, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Bold Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate.  Mr. Singletary passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Mr. Singletary was born on December 13, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Thomas Berry Singletary and Thelma Ingram Singletary.  He was a Cairo High School graduate in the Class of 1971.  On June 15, 1974, he married Marsha Yvonne McClelland “Von” Singletary, who survives.  He retired from Skandia of Thomasville as a shutter manufacturer.  He was of the Christian faith.  Thomas was a carpenter by trade and an avid fisherman by choice.  He was a survivor of cancer for 9 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Yvonne “Von” Singletary of Cairo, GA; daughter, Michelle Roberts (Marc Cox) of Cairo, GA; granddaughter, Kayla Grigsby of Cairo, GA; brother, Oscar “Tink” Singletary (Annie) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Wendell Singletary; and a sister, Ann Thornton.
