Almarie VanLandingham Pollock

A private graveside funeral service for Almarie VanLandingham Pollock, 90, of Cairo, GA, will be on Thursday, September 23, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Kyle Hutchins, her grandson, will officiate. Mrs. Pollock was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Active pallbearers will be Jon Lee, Mark Lee, Roddy VanLandingham and Kyle Hutchins.
Mrs. Pollock was born on September 10, 1931, in Whigham, GA, to the late Carey Hartley and Lizzie Mobley Hartley. She married Durwood VanLandingham, who preceded her in death on February 28, 1962. She was also married to Leonard Pollock, who passed on March 8, 1989. Almarie received her LPN license through the 1st graduating class in 1964 from Thomas Technical School. She then went on to work until her retirement from Grady General Hospital and several local doctor offices. She was a member of Centennial United Methodist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include: her son, Carey VanLandingham (Dena) of Cairo, GA; daughters, Martha Lee (Weyman) of Cairo, GA, Regenia Hutchins (Kenneth) of Thomasville, GA, Jennifer Harrison (Ricky) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Jon Lee (Paslie), Mark Lee (Jessica), Susan Savage, Roddy VanLandingham, all of Cairo, GA, Rachael Harrison of Whigham, GA, Kyle Hutchins (April) of Savannah, GA; great-grandchildren, Kristin, Abbey, Carson, Cale, Chloe, Colt, Colin, Tommy, McKenzie, Emma; great-great-grandchildren, Maddie Grace; sister-in-law, Edna McNair; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands; her brother, Melton Perkins, wife, Eloise.
