Funeral services for Juanita Kinchen Jordan, 84, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Interment will be in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Jordan passed away at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla, GA, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Active pallbearers will be Kyle Puttkammer, Eric Jordan, Stephen Harris, Gary Keve, Johnny Tuggle and Richard Wise.
Mrs. Jordan was born on April 10, 1937, in Cairo, GA, to the late Arthur Mitchell Kinchen and Daphne Rue Anderson Kinchen. On December 24, 1959, she married Charles William “Billy” Jordan, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2020. They were married for over 60 years. She retired as educator serving as a teacher and librarian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.
Survivors include: daughters, Angela Carol Jordan of Cairo, GA, Cynthia Jordan Puttkammer (Kyle) of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Eric Jordan of Cairo, GA, Andrea Puttkammer of Duluth, GA, Anna Puttkammer of Duluth GA; brother, Arthur “Sonny” Kinchen, Jr. of Green Cove Springs, FL; sisters, Carolyn Steedley of Swainsboro, GA, Elaine Harris of Ringgold, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
