Barbara Worley Laney
November 23, 1936 – December 20, 2021

Barbara Worley Laney, 85, of Cairo, GA, passed away at her home Monday, December 20, 2021.  The family will hold a private memorial service.

Mrs. Laney was born on November 23, 1936, in Phenix City, AL, to the late Levi Corbett Worley and Stella Kathryn Geeslin Worley.  She was preceded by her husbands, Charles Levoy Jenkins and Ruell Laney.  Before her retirement, she worked as contract mail carrier for the U.S Postal Service.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: daughters, Shirley Singletary (Roger) of Ocklawaha, FL, Phyllis Gainous (Lanny) of Cairo, GA, Faye Pettigrew of Cairo, GA; son, Randy Laney of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Eric Roberson of Cairo, GA, Darla Campbell (Matt) of Tampa, FL, Wendy Hurst (Perry) of Cairo, GA, Karen Logsdon (Andy) Ocklawaha, FL, Jackie Houston (Winky) of Cairo, GA, Jeanne Singletary of Ocklawaha, FL, Matthew Singletary of Dawson, GA, Brian Roberson of Cairo, GA, Elizabeth Shelton (Keith) of Cairo, GA, Yvette Ducharme (Ryan) of Mead, CO; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Bell of Cairo, GA, Kay Worley of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Vickie Lehman; and brothers, Corbett Worley and Kermit Worley.
