Joseph Timothy “Tim” Thomas, Sr.
October 31, 1957 – February 27, 2022

Graveside funeral services for Joseph Timothy “Tim” Thomas, Sr., 64, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate.  Military Honors will be presented at graveside.  Mr. Thomas passed away at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA, on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Mr. Thomas was born on October 31, 1957, in Cairo, GA, to the late Roy K. Thomas and Mytrice Greene Thomas.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Tim was a long-time employee of Drew Oil.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Tim enjoyed big family gatherings and spending time with his loving family.

Survivors include: his son, Joseph Thomas (Megan) of Clermont, GA; granddaughter, Cate Thomas of Clermont, GA; sisters, Joyce Herndon (Wayne) of Cairo, GA, Karen Thomas of Cairo, GA; brother, Allen Thomas (Lana) of Dublin, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
