Mark Everett Higgins
July 26, 1963 – March 21, 2022

Funeral services for Mark Everett Higgins, 58, of Springdale, AR, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Interment will be in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Higgins passed away at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, AR, on Monday, March 21, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Evan Higgins, Lonnie Wade, Logan Dorman, Mike Clark, Emil Rekasi and David Gainous.  Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Tobin, Phil Brewer, Scott Gainous, Mack Thompson and Todd Gainous.

Mark was born on July 26, 1963, in Columbus, OH, to the late Robert George Higgins and Virginia Elizabeth Smith Higgins.  He served his country in the United States Army.  On December 2, 1989, he married Melanie Walden Higgins, who survives.  Mark was a lifelong learner.  He loved fast cars and motorcycles.  He could fix anything and was always working on a project.  He was the family’s protector and shared inspiring advice.  Mark was a loving father who was fiercely proud of his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Melanie W. Higgins of Springdale, AR; his children, Evan Higgins of Springdale, AR, Allison Higgins of Champaign, IL, Laura Higgins of Springdale, AR; sisters, Vicki Brewer (Phil) of Fitzgerald, GA, Lynda Rekasi (Emil) of Denver, PA, Tracy Clark (Mike) of Fayetteville, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
