Lois McBroom Bennett October 16, 1936 – March 25, 2022

Funeral services for Lois McBroom Bennett 85, of Whigham, GA are at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at Whigham Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Allen Hartsfield and Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Bennett passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be: Seth Aldrete, Frank Hester, Matthew McBroom, Pat Barbaree, Kevin Hancock and Tim Lindsay.

Mrs. Bennett was born in October 16, 1936, in Whigham, GA, to the late Ralph McBroom and Lucile Ward McBroom. On September 11, 1954, she married Tommy Bennett, who preceded her in death on August 4, 2019. Lois was a van driver for the Grady County Senior Center and retired from the US Postal Service after being a rural mail carrier for almost 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She has been a devoted member of Whigham Baptist Church since returning back home to Whigham, GA in 1981.

Survivors include: her sons, Tony Bennett (Debbie) of Pflugerville,TX, Mark Bennett (Debi) of Spring Branch, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Ramos (James), Sarah Bennett, both of San Antonio, TX, Dana Kanetzky (Billy), Janna Wolter (Jacob), both of Pflugerville, TX, Michael Holler (Laci) of Bullard, TX, Michelle Holler of Hutto, TX, Jennifer Shuta (Aaron) of Burnet, TX, and Jeremy Fedarko of Lopez Island, WA; great-grandchildren, Seth, Brianna, Aimee, James, Emery, Colt, Bryce, Justice, Chelsea, Austin, Christy, Zaza, Kacee, Ryleigh, Dakotah, Cadence, Felicity; great-great-grandchild, Nevaeh; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; siblings Leota, Edgar, Dorothy (Dot), Embry; a brother-in-law Francis Hester; and a sister-in-law Louise McBroom.

The family will receive friends at Whigham Baptist on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
