Larry Kenneth Hammer, Jr.

Larry Kenneth Hammer, Jr., 49, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Monday, May 16, 2022.  The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Hammer was born on May 30, 1972, in Coos Bay, OR, to Larry Hammer, Sr. and Joan Gail Bentley Hammer.  He was a contractor in the construction industry.

Survivors include: daughters, Ashley Vickers (Cameron) of Cairo, GA, Jessica Anderson of Thomasville, GA, Heather Hammer of Thomasville, GA; sons, Larry Hammer, III (Heather Nicole) of Byron, GA, Mitch Sheffield of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Izabella Anderson, Sophia Anderson, Tessa Anderson, all of Thomasville, GA, Charlie Grier, Carson Hammer, both of Warner Robins, GA, Easton Bennett of Pelham, GA, Ashtyn Beltran, Autumn Beltran, Daytyn Beltran, all of Moultrie, GA, Anna Leigh Vickers, Sydney Vickers, both of Cairo, GA; brothers, Donald Michaelson of Connecticut, Chris Goodman of Baconton, GA; sisters, Shara Michaelson of Kentucky, Laura Southwick of Missouri, Cherry Sanders of Pelham, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Larry and Joan Hammer; parents, June and Johnny Pilgram; grandson, Dallas Beltran; and a brother, Ray Goodman.
