Funeral services for Thomas E. Hopkins, 93, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at Bethel United Methodist Church, Reno, GA. Rev. Christy Bandy will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Hopkins passed away at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Ben Hopkins, Lee Hopkins, David Hopkins, Luke Forgione, Chase Williams, Kevin Hudson, Gerald Lee Bryden, and Thomas Johnson.

Mr. Hopkins was born on August 12, 1928, in Reno, GA, to the late Leroy Hopkins, Sr. and Ora Whitfield Hopkins. He married Carolyn Johnson Hopkins, who proceeded him in death on July 9, 2018. Tom spent his working career as a farmer with Hopkins Farms, served in the United States Army, and was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Carroll Hopkins (Becky) of Cairo, GA, Tommy Hopkins (Ann) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Forgione (Luke), Rebecca Williams (Chase), Laura Hudson (Kevin), Ben Hopkins (Keri), Lee Hopkins (Nikki), David Hopkins (Candace); great-grandchildren, Tyson, Ethan, Eliza, Asher, Magnus, Carolyn, Cate, Carroll, Brinson, Parker, Smith, Walker, and Mason.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife, and siblings.
