John David Powell
September 26, 1973 – August 20, 2022

John David Powell, 48, of Cairo, GA, passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  A memorial service will be held in his memory at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

Mr. Powell was born on September 26, 1973, in Bartow, FL, to Nellie Tilley and Robert Earl Powell.  John graduated from high school and worked to receive his technician certification in heating and air conditioning.  He spent most of his working career with Parker Heating and Air of Cairo.  He later took a position with the Grady County B.O.E working with the maintenance department.  John loved and cared for his friends and family very much.  He was of the Christian Faith and attended the Rose City Church of God.

Survivors include: his mother, Nellie Tilley, of Cairo, GA; brothers, Earl Powell (Yvonne), of Thomasville, GA, Steven Powell (Melissa), of Cairo, GA; sister, Tammy Powell, of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends following the memorial services.
