Kenneth Wayne “Ken” Walden

Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne “Ken” Walden, 63, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Providence Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Pastor Johnny Moore and Pastor Stacey Glover will officiate. Private family interment will be in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Walden passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Active pallbearers will be Alan Wells, Kevin Hester, Lance Morrell, Phillip Palmer, Marcus Bracewell, Jerry Tate, Larry Strickland and Dave Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow class members of Whigham High School.
Mr. Walden was born on October 26, 1958, in Cairo, GA, to the late Marvin J. Walden and Bernice Johnson Walden. On September 6, 2002, he married Nancy Booth Walden, who survives. Until his retirement, he was the parts manager at Cairo Auto Supply for over 30 years. Ken was affectionately known as “Koolamonga.” He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Walden of Cairo, GA; son, Eric Walden (Carolyn) of Cairo, GA; daughter, Teresa Elkins (Jamie) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Aubrey, Kenleigh, Tristan, Amelia, Sarah, Abigail and Casey; sisters, June Wells and Joyce Hancock, both of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Tim Booth; grandchildren, Jake Elkins, Kenneth Eric Walden, Jr., Hollyn Walden; and four brothers and one sister.
