Sharon Johnson Butler

Funeral services for Sharon Johnson Butler, 71, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kenneth Cloud will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Butler passed away at her home on, Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Darrell Johnson, Dewayne Johnson, David Johnson, Chad Johnson, John Jackson and Bryan Gibson.

Mrs. Butler was born on January 14, 1951, in Cairo, GA, to the late Shorty Johnson and Irma Lindsey Johnson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo.  Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was always well dressed.  She was always willing to help anyone that needed help.  She was the glue that held her family together.

Survivors include: her husband, Kenneth Butler of Cairo, GA; daughter, Tonya Robinson (Ed) of Cairo, GA; son, Todd Bishop of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Hanna Powe of Athens, GA, Joshua Robinson of Athens, GA, Mollie Robinson of Thomasville, GA; sister, Marilyn Willis (Billy); brother, Wayne Johnson (Deborah)) of Cairo, GA; sister-in-law, Jane Johnson of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: parents; and siblings, Ronald Johnson, Theo Johnson, Charlotte Barrineau and Carolyn Hollingsworth.

The family will receive friends at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
