Funeral services for Johnny William Mitchell, 81, of Moultrie, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Eric Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in the Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Mitchell passed away at his home on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Mr. Mitchell was born on October 7, 1941, in Valdosta, GA, to the late C. H. Mitchell, Sr. and Ruby Mitchell Mitchell. On February 23, 2019, he married Naomi Crawford Mitchell, who survives. Until his retirement, he was employed in the construction business. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his wife, Naomi Mitchell of Moultrie, GA; daughters, Wendy Byrden (Alton) of Cairo, GA, Patricia Murphy (Derek) of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Turner (Kasey) of Cairo, GA, Dana Turner of Cairo, GA, Conner Hill of Cairo, GA, Hanna Lynch (Nathen) of Thomasville, GA, Tylor Crawford of Thomasville, GA; great-grandchildren, Landon, Peyton, Averleigh, Pheonix, Keegan, Layton, Atreyus, Emma, Grayson; brothers, Eric Mitchell of Cairo, GA, Ralph Mitchell (Angela) of Cairo, GA, Charles Mitchell of Cairo, GA; sisters, Alma Kincaid of Cairo, GA, Barbara Rash of Panama City, FL, Meddie Baggett (Emory) of Whigham, GA, Francis Jarvis of Whigham, GA; step-children, Janice Wasiqi (Bob) of Fort Worth, TX, James Phillips of Wisconsin; step-grandchildren, Mahalah Phillips of Moultrie, GA, CaSea Jordon (Ronald) of Moultrie, GA, Trever Wasiqi of Houston, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isaiah, Hudson, Noelhana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sister.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
