Jon Craig Johnson
June 16, 1945 – April 5, 2023

Jon Craig Johnson, 77, of Cairo, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.  Memorial services will be held in Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Mr. Johnson was born on June 16, 1945, in New York, NY, to the late Ben Johnson and Gene Ford Johnson.  He served his country in the United States Navy.  On September 17, 1966, he married Linda Cowart Johnson, who survives.  They have been married 56 years.  After completing his military career, Jon was employed as a pilot until his retirement.  He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda Johnson of Cairo, GA; children, Jon Courtlin Johnson of Los Angles, CA, Lindsey Johnson of Savannah, GA; brothers and sisters, Courtney Klees of Ellijay, GA, twin sister, Cindy Borzen of Cooper City, FL, Glen Johnson of Punta Gorta, FL, Scott Johnson of New Jersey, Sydney Patterson of Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
