Charlotte Elaine Atkinson Daughtry
October 17, 1947 – July 4, 2023

Memorial services for Charlotte E. Daughtry, 75, of Cairo, GA, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Eastside Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Matt Vickers will officiate.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Daughtry passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Homemakers Sunday School Class.

Ms. Charlotte was born on October 17, 1947, in Fitzgerald, GA, to the late Luther H. Hardwick and Dorothy Jurnigan Hardwick. She was married to Marion Glenn Atkinson, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 6, 1971. She was a loving homemaker and friend to many who loved her very much.  Ms. Charlotte was a devoted member to Eastside Baptist Church.

Ms. Charlotte is survived by: her children, Sherry Jennings (Jason) of Porter, TX and Marion Glenn Atkinson, Jr. (Shira) of Albertville, AL; her grandchildren, Annsley Jennings, Porter, TX, Cora Lee Atkinson, Palm Bay, FL, Kayla Ann Sites (Pressley), Albertville, AL, Dustin Glenn Atkinson, Albertville, AL, Nathan Glenn Atkinson, Albertville, AL, Tori Elaine Atkinson, Albertville, AL; great-grandchildren, Payton, Grayson, Colton, Bristol and Everly; sister, Sue Hornsby, Ochlocknee, GA; and a step-brother, Wayn Rutland, Milwaukee, WS.

Ms. Charlotte was preceded in death by:  her parents, her husband, her daughter, Tammy E. Jones; brothers, Dale Hardwick, Jerry Hardwick; and a step-brother, Larry Rutland.

Memorials can be made in Ms. Charlottes’ memory to: the American Cancer Society or Egleston Childrens Hospital of Atlanta.
