Betty Ann Harris
December 2, 1939 – August 26, 2023

Funeral services for Betty Ann Harris, 83, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:30 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham, GA.  Rev. Jimmy Ausburn will officiate.  Interment will be in Butler Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mrs. Harris passed away at her home on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Active pallbearers will be Dustin Harris, Cody Harris, Ronnie Boyd, Brandon Horn, Porter Haddock and Joseph Sharp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Wayne Johnson, Trey Byrd, Wade Croley and Jesse Barber.

Mrs. Harris was born on December 2, 1939, in Fort Myers, FL, to the late Charles Owens and Bessie Johnson Owens.   On June 7, 1957, she married Dean Harris, Sr., who survives.  They were married for 66 years.  She retired from Publix Supermarket Chain after 20 years of service.  She loved all animals, especially her dogs.  She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham.

Survivors include: her husband, Dean Harris, Sr. of Whigham, GA; children, Lisa Sharp (Mark) of Whigham, GA, Dean Harris (Sandi) of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Dustin Harris, Cody Harris, both of Fort Myers, FL; great-grandchildren, Brantley Harris, Weston Harris, Ellie Mae Harris, all of Fort Myers, FL; her aunt, Virgina Skipper; and her loving pet yorkie, Caitlyn Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Harris’ memory to: Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc.; or Gentiva Hospice of Bainbridge, GA.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
