Eleanor “Sue” Rodemoyer

Eleanor “Sue” Rodemoyer, 74, Cairo, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2003, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, after an illness with COPD.
Sue was born September 17, 1949, in Wheatland, PA, to the late Calvin and Eleanor Sanders. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Allan G. Rodemoyer; and her three daughters, Nicci in Pennsylvania, Aimee (Charlie) in North Carolina, Stacey in Michigan, and a son, Jim (Cindy) in Cairo, GA.
Sue had a fulfilling career in several industries in which she was very passionate. Sue worked for First Florida Bank as Head Vault Teller, where she had the opportunity of mentoring new employees. Sue was also a Risk Management Specialist in Southwest Florida and had an opportunity to work as an Executive Secretary for a major law firm and spoke to many companies on the “Keys to Success.”
Sue had the opportunity to “make a difference” when she and her husband joined the Lions Club in Calvary, GA. Sue worked countless hours volunteering for over 15 years at Mule Day. She was past secretary and treasurer for the Lions Club and was an intricate part of the success of Mule Day. In 2008 Sue was elected Woman of the Year by the Cairo Chamber of Commerce. Sue’s last job was managing the activities of the Grady County Historical Society.
Sue was a wonderful loving wife of 44 years to Allan and was proud to have a close personal relationship with Jesus. After many months of suffering, she said she was ready to go and see Jesus.
Sue always looked at life as the glass is half full instead of half empty. She had a wonderful attitude and was always wanting and willing to help those in need. She will be greatly missed.
