Dorothy Laverne Baggett
March 6, 1947 – December 7, 2023

Funeral services for Dorothy Laverne Baggett, 76, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Baggett passed away at her home on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

Mrs. Baggett was born on March 6, 1947, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Anthony Tilley, Sr. and Mildred Sellars Williams.  On November 12, 1965, she married Bill C. Baggett, Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2022.  Before her retirement, she worked at Wight Nurseries.

Survivors include: her daughter, Brenda Whigham (Todd) of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Amber Crowell (Chris) of Thomasville, GA, Todd Whigham Jr. (KaylaAnn) of Leesburg, GA; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Crowell of Thomasville, GA, Jackson Crowell of Thomasville, GA, Iven Crowell of Thomasville, GA, Kaylee Whigham of Leesburg, GA; sister, Betty Joyce Griffin (Paul) of Lake Wales, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Also surviving is a special niece, Janice Barrett of Pelham, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her son, Bill C. Baggett, Jr.; sister, Janne Kelly; and brothers, James Anthony “Teenie” Tilley, Jr. and Jimmy Tilley.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
