Donnis Golden Thomas
April 12, 1935 – December 25, 2023

Funeral services for Donnis Golden Thomas, 88, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Stacy Glover will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Ms. Thomas passed away at the John B. and Elizabeth V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, GA, on Monday, December 25, 2023.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Ms. Thomas was born on April 12, 1935, in Ochlocknee, GA, to the late Cornelius “Neal” Golden and Alberta Mincey Golden.  She worked for many years with the Georgia Department of Labor.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include: daughters, Tammy Clark of Cairo, GA, Donna Hopkins of Cairo, GA, Angela Dixon (Randy) of Screven, GA; grandchildren, Brooke Mills (Jeremy) of Cairo, GA, Ryan Blackmon (Carson) of Lake City, FL, Samantha Ruff (Nick) of Cairo, GA, Jade Colley (Drei) of Bristol, Ga, Haley Dixon of Patterson, GA, Taylor Dixon of Bristol, GA, Lenisha Harrison of Cairo, GA, Jamey Hopkins (Angie) of Ochlocknee, GA, Amy Bennett (Nic) of Atttapulgus, GA; great-grandchildren, Gage, Jace, Atlas, Waverly, Willow, Jake, Bree, Hadly, Halen, Holland, Will, Logan, Douglas, Caroline, Ali, Ava, Presley, Price; great-great-grandchild, Kinsley; sister, Rebecca Tomblson of Roswell, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her siblings, Donald Leon Golden, Ralph Leal Golden, David Lavaughn Golden, Charles William Golden, Daniel Solon “Coot” Golden and Lillian Marie Golden Gainous.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Clark Funeral Home.
