Phillip Eugene McLendon
January 18, 1960 – January 24, 2024
Phillip Eugene McLendon, 64, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Cairo, GA, passed away at the Big Bend Hospice House, Tallahassee, FL, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Mr. McLendon was born on January 18, 1960, in Grady County, GA, to the late William Mack McLendon and Ollie Mae Smith McLendon.
He was a retired welder and of the Christian faith. He was also an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan and he could always be found on the riverbank fishing.
Survivors include: his children, Erika Harrison (Shawn) of Cairo, GA, Amanda Colvin (Robert) of Tallahassee, FL, Phillip E. McLendon, II (Danielle) of Cairo, GA and Adam E. McLendon of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Robert W. Colvin, Andrew Colvin, both of Tallahassee, FL, Judson Harrison, Braxton McLendon, Rhett McLendon, Ryan McLendon, Aubrey Barrett, Hayden Barrett, all of Cairo, GA; and siblings, Brenda Reeve of Acworth, GA, Daniel McLendon (Cheryl), Sheila Singletary (Shelton), both of Cairo, GA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Vineyard Ministries, 2189 Highway 84 East, Cairo, GA. The family will have a private graveside at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
