Arthur Jones Hoiles, III
July 4, 1957 – February 28, 2024

Arthur Jones Hoiles, III, of Whigham, GA, passed peacefully at home under the pecan trees in the presence of family on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

A.J. was born in Alliance, OH on July 4, 1957, to Arthur Jones Hoiles Jr. and Carol Louise Merwin.  He worked for many years as a swimming pool contractor in Perry, FL, and was known for having an intelligence with his hands that extended to woodworking.   He was regarded for his quick wit and gentleness.

Survivors include his three daughters and one son: Rachel Farrell (Nick) of Whigham, GA, Miriam Wright of Whigham, GA, Kathryn McMurdo (Dave) of San Jose, CA and Arthur Hoiles (Mariah) of Clarksville, TN.  He is additionally survived by eight beautiful granddaughters as well as his siblings: Beth Watson of Orlando, FL, Bobby Heffner (Amy) of Sebring, FL and Katie Hoskins of Greer, SC.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Linda and Fred Gunter of Perry, FL for their support during this time.
