Mary Bishop Ezell

Funeral services for Mary B. Ezell, 92, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Chris Allen and Rev. William Hurst will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Mary passed away at Archbold Living Center in Cairo, GA, on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Mrs. Mary was born on May 17, 1932, in Cairo, GA, to the late William Gus Bishop and Margaret Klein Bishop. She married Emmett N. Ezell on December 22, 1951, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2021.  Mrs. Mary had a career working through the years in several places including Truman’s Drug Store and the Ithaca plant in Cairo before her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her daughter, Mary Ann Cook, of Brunswick, GA; her grandchildren, John R. Cook, of Brunswick, GA, Anthony B. Cook, of St Simmons, GA; her sister, Opal Hanley, of Cairo, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and nine brothers and sisters.
