John LaWayne West

Funeral services for John LaWayne West, 31, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA.  Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. West passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, July 21, 2024.

Mr. West was born on January 12, 1993, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Gary L. West and Michelle Vickers West-Warren, who survives.  John was a millwright worker.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish.  John loved his kids, his sister, Shellie, his family and his dog, Sasha.

Survivors include: his children, Kylie West of Cairo, GA, Ryder West of Thomasville, GA; mother, Michelle West-Warren (Stephen) of Whigham, GA; grandfather, Derrick Vickers of Whigham, GA; his canine companion, Sasha; brother, Kristopher Sadler (Holli) of Sneads, FL; sister, Shellie Scott of Whigham, GA, Samantha Scott of Statesboro, GA; mama number 2, Teresa Warren (Rickey) of Donalsonville, GA; uncles, Clifton Vickers of Whigham, GA, Bryan Vickers of Whigham, GA; special cousins, Kayla Pearson (Dale), Nickey Warren, Megan Vickers, Teslah Warren and Josh Vickers, Alexis Warren, Jade Warren, Ryley Vickers and River Vickers.

He was preceded in death by: his father; brother, Jerry Dean West; grandmothers, Gertrude Dean “Trudy” Vickers, Faye West; and a grandfather, Bud West.
