William “Billy” Blanchard

Funeral services for William “Billy” Blanchard, 56, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Teddy Williamson will officiate.  Interment will be in Ochlocknee City Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA.  Mr. Blanchard passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Austin Blanchard, Garrett Blanchard, Dustin Blanchard, Daryl Griffin, Keith Griffin and Chance Davis.

Mr. Blanchard was born on October 26, 1967, in Port Charlotte, FL, to the late William Blanchard, II, and Gail Merritt Lee, who survives.  He was a contractor in the construction industry and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Gail Merritt Lee (Roger) of Pine Park, GA; daughter, Ashley Blanchard Hart (Dustin) of Pavo, GA; son, Michael Blanchard of Indiana; four grandchildren; brother, Clarence Blanchard of Cairo, GA; sister, Penny Cooper (Justin) of Quincy, FL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Blanchard, II; wife, Dale Evans Blanchard; brothers, Andy Blanchard and Jeffrey Blanchard.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
