Funeral services for Kymberly “Kym” Alice Cook, 40, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. David Miller will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Ms. Cook passed away at her residence, Cairo, GA, on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Apollo Cook, Bruce Mann, Evan Barfield, and Nick Potgieter.

Ms. Cook was born on May 10, 1984, in Cairo, GA, to Christopher A. Cook and Nancy L. Mann Cook. She was a volunteer in the bookstore at Roddenbery Memorial Library and attended Cairo First Church of the Nazarene. She loved cats and reading books.

Survivors include her parents, Christopher and Nancy Cook of Cairo, GA; brother, Apollo Cook (Brandy Mitchell) of Cairo, GA; grandfather, James Mann of Bainbridge, GA; nieces, Marisa Cook of Cairo, GA and Danica Cook of Cairo, GA; aunts and uncle, Marilyn Mann of Bainbridge, GA, Bruce Mann (Susan) of Bainbridge, GA, Janet Zavistovich of Washington, DC and Sherrie Potgieter (Nick) of Sylvester, GA; as well as numerous cousins and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Barbara Mann, Madison Cook, Paula Cook; and an aunt, Tammy Barfield.

Memorials may be made in Ms. Cook’s memory to Roddenbery Memorial Library.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
