James Watson “Buster” Tuggle

Graveside funeral services for James Watson “Buster” Tuggle, 63, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Teddy Williamson will officiate. Mr. Tuggle passed away at his home on Sunday, January 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Fletcher, Michael Stephens, Mike Ansley, Jeffery Collins, Todd Ferrell and Mike Bentley.
Mr. Tuggle was born on December 31, 1961, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Frazier and Mary Frances Willis Tuggle. On June 28, 1996, he married Sheila Ann Merritt who survives. They were together for 35 years. He was self-employed as a builder in the construction industry before returning to the farm to help his father. Buster loved hunting, fishing and hunting arrowheads. He loved his family.
Survivors include: his wife, Sheila Ann Merritt Tuggle of Cairo, GA; daughters, Janna Marie Tuggle (David) of Whigham, GA, Tessa Merit Tuggle of Cairo, GA; sons, James Dustin Tuggle of Cairo, GA and Dakota James Tuggle of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Krissa Annell Lodge of Whigham, GA, Rodney James Turvin of Cairo, GA and Blakley Fain of Cairo, GA; sisters, Emo Lic Jones (Gary) and Mary Catherine Dees, both of Cairo, GA and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends at the graveside on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
