Funeral services for W. Rayford Bell, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Miles Carter and Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in the Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Bell passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Gainous, Tyrone Hopper, Jerry Tate, Phillip Drew, Glenn Ponder and Jeremy Gainous.
Mr. Bell was born on October 20, 1935, in Cairo, GA, to the late Bob Bell and Mellie Pyles Bell. He served his country in the U. S. Army. On February 27, 1955, he married Betty Jean Sellers Bell, who survives. He retired as an auto salesman with Crew Motors of Cairo. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Betty Jean Sellers Bell of Cairo, GA; son, Richard Bell (Selina) of Cairo, GA; daughter, Sharon Gainous (Leon) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Brock Bell, Grayson Bell, both of Cairo, GA; brothers, J. T. Bell of Donalsonville, GA, Donald Bell (Annette) of Cairo, GA, Clifford Bell (Marinell) of Cairo, GA; sisters, Pam Roberts (Steve) of Cairo, GA, Clara Griner of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Elbana Bell, Linda Bell, Ethel Boyette; and a brother, Robert Lee Bell.
