Memorial services for Alfred Sylvester “Cooter” Martin, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, formerly of Whigham, GA, are 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Fellowship Hall of Pine Forest Baptist Church, Ochlocknee, GA. Private interment will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA. Mr. Martin passed away at his home, Bainbridge, GA, on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Mr. Martin was born on May 12, 1945, in Camilla, GA, to the late John Clay Martin and Charlie Mae Wimberly Martin. On April 6, 2002, he married Hattie Lou Downs Martin, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2020. He was a truck driver with Graco for many years.

Survivors include his sisters, Diane Brock, Barbara Hastings, Betsy Brinson and Gloria Futch; brothers, Frank Martin and Timothy Martin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, Don Martin, John Martin and Lazarus Martin.
