Michael “Mike” Levaughn Bond

Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Levaughn Bond, 57, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Arnold Buckner and Rev. James Knight will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bond passed away at his residence, Cairo, GA, on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Ricky Powe, Ken Bond, Wes Williams, Louis Asbell, Wesley Dekle, Jamie Owens and Frankie Courtney. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Jordan, Stacy Gilliard, Dewayne Mason and Jody Harvey.

Mr. Bond was born on October 23, 1967, in Thomasville, GA, to Horace Levaughn Bond and Mary Alice Scott Bond, who both survive. On October 19, 2006, he married Mary Ann Anderson Bond, who survives. They were married for over 18 years. He was a certified septic tank installer and a member of Pine Level Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Horace Levaughn and Mary Alice Scott Bond of Whigham, GA; wife, Mary Ann Anderson Bond; son, Ferris Taylor (Lauren) of Cairo, GA; grandsons, Garrett Taylor and Rhett Taylor, both of Cairo, GA; sister, Teresa Bond Knight (Joe) of Cairo, GA; as well as other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will receive friends at Pine Level Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, immediately following the service.
