Graveside funeral services for Mary Lamb Singleton, 85, of Pelham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2024, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Brent Welch will officiate. Mrs. Singletary passed away at her home, Pelham, GA, on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Mrs. Singleton was born on November 12, 1939, in Moultrie, GA, to the late Lewis Medford Johnson and the late Cecil Lee Causey Johnson. She was married to Joe Henry Lamb, who preceded her in on January 21, 2000. She then married Hollis Herbert Singleton, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2023. She was a retired seamstress with Coates America and was a member of The Connection Church and Grace Pointe Church in Thomasville, GA.
Survivors include her children, James H. Lamb (Beth) of Cairo, GA, Tammy Bridgers (Michael) of Dixie, GA, Joey H. Lamb of Pelham, GA , Sherry Lamb (David) of Pelham, GA; grandchildren, James Lee Lamb of Pelham, GA, Dale Sadler of Coolidge, GA, Amber Sumner (Daniel) of Buchanan, GA, Brittany Dunn (Eric) of Thomasville, GA, Melony Singletary of Bremen, GA, Danielle Lamb of Pelham, GA, Little Michael Bridgers (Lauren) of Dixie, GA, Joseph Anthony McDonald of Thomasville, GA; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Prezzie Poole of Moultrie, GA, Carolyn Rowe of McMinnville, TN; brother, William James Johnson (Elaine) of Moultrie, GA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joe Henry Lamb, Hollis Herbert Singleton; brothers, Clyde Johnson, William Johnson, Lewis Johnson, Walter Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Joseph Johnson; sisters, Alice Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Zollie Mae Johnson
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
