Ellie Pauline “Polly” Barrineau

Funeral services for Ellie Pauline “Polly” Barrineau, 73, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Rose City Church of God, Thomasville, GA. Pastor Keith Gunter and Pastor Tyler Carter will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Barrineau passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Stephens, Wayne Wilkes, Jacky Cox, Allen Holder, Eric Wentz and Brandon Murkerson.

Mrs. Barrineau was born on September 29, 1951, in Cairo, GA, to the late Paul Cox and Eula Carter Cox. In October of 1968, she married Roy Franklin Barrineau, who preceded her in death on August 27, 1997. She was employed with Caterpillar in Thomasville. She was a member of the Rose City Church of God in Thomasville. She loved her family and church family with all her heart.

Survivors include: her children, Roy Myron Barrineau (Julie) of Whigham, GA, Richard Kevin Barrineau of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Jordyn Usery (Matt) of Cairo, GA, Holden Wisehart of Cairo, GA, Ellie Jane Barrineau of Whigham, GA; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, James Cox of Cairo, GA, Faye Ansley (Wayne) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her sisters, Hazel Wilkes, Judy Parker.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Barrineau’s memory to: Rose City Church of God, 2750 N Pinetree Blvd, Thomasville, GA 31792.

The family will receive friends at the Rose City Church of God on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
