Scott James Redfield
January 27, 1970 – April 16, 2025

Scott James Redfield, 55, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Scott was born on January 27, 1970, in Keene, NH, to Donald and Carolyn (Daly) Redfield. He was a loving and devoted husband to Kimberly (Laghetto) Redfield. Scott spent most of his life in New England before moving to Cairo, Georgia, with Kim in 2021, where he worked as a self-employed contractor while renovating a 100-year-old home near downtown Cairo.

Growing up in New Hampshire, Scott loved the beach, particularly York Beach, and enjoyed playing and coaching baseball. He was passionate about helping others during his time as a Fire Captain and EMT with the Fitzwilliam Fire Department. Scott enjoyed cooking for friends and family on his grill and smoker, spending time with his grandchildren and rescue dogs, and maintaining his lawn and pool.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Redfield, of Cairo, GA; children Dr. Colby Redfield and his wife Heather of Tallahassee, FL; Ryan Redfield of Simi Valley, CA; Krista Redfield and her partner Charles Stickney of Swanzey, NH; Samantha Hartman of Cairo, GA; and Caitlin Hartman of Cumberland, RI. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Connor Redfield and Archer Redfield, both of Tallahassee, FL; Olivia Redfield of Simi Valley, CA; and Kenna St. Laurent, Angel Runnals, Aiden St. Laurent, Bentley St. Laurent, Paisley St. Laurent, and Reagan Stickney, all of Swanzey, NH.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carolyn Redfield, and his brother, Tedd Redfield.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, they request that donations be made in Scott’s honor to Best Friends Dog Rescue in Cairo, GA.
