Martha Chason

Graveside funeral services for Martha Chason, 90, of Thomasville, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in the Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Wayne McDonald will officiate. Ms. Chason passed away at Thomasville Nursing and Rehab on Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Ms. Chason was born on February 17, 1925, in Cairo, GA, to the late Edwin Everett Chason and Irma Lee Zeigler Chason. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Thomasville, GA.

Survivors include: sister-in-law, Eunice Chason of Whigham, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Thomasville Nursing and Rehab for the special care given over the years for Martha.

She was preceded in death by: parents; siblings, Schley Chason, Lottie Merritt, Naomi Hamel, Alma Gunter, Delmar Chason, Lamar Chason and Horace Chason.

The family will receive friends at graveside immediately following the funeral service.
