Alan Paul “Al” Kandler, 68, passed away at home in Cairo, GA, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. No services are planned at this time.
Mr. Kandler was born on April 2, 1948, in Patterson, NJ, to the late Ernest Kandler and Irma Rausch Kandler. He served his country in the United States Air Force. On July 18, 1973, he married Kathleen Clifton Kandler, who survives. He retired as a mail clerk from the United States Post Office in Bradenton, FL. He was an Episcopalian.
Survivors include: wife, Kathleen Clifton Kandler of Bradenton, FL; son, August P. Kandler of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Summer A. Pride of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Adrian Castillo (Christa Deforest), Kayla Bermudez, Desireé Bermudez, Kira Kandler, Ja’Den Pride, Malaki Pride, all of Cairo, GA; and a great-grandson, Jeremias James Castillo of Cairo, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a nephew.
