Graveside services with military honors for Albert Bryan “A.B.” Walden, 88, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Providence Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Rev. Gerald Horne will officiate. Mr. Walden passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, October 7, 2018.
Mr. Walden was born on September 28, 1930, in Whigham, GA, to the late John Ruben “J.R.” Walden and Lucille Smith Walden. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired after 27 years of active service. On September 6, 1952, he married Angela Harthenthler Walden, who survives. His favorite hobbies were golf and bowling. He loved spending time with family and loved ones. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Angela H. Walden of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Chris Walden, Aimee Walden of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Brittany Williamson of Cairo, GA, Taylor Wynn of Cairo, GA, Caroline Wynn of Camilla, GA, Sara Grace Wynn of Camilla, GA, Whitley Riggins (Wade) of Arlington, GA, Drew Walden of Warner Robins, GA, Josie Walden of Thomasville, GA; great-great-grandchildren, Kalli Williamson, Kabrey Williamson, Landon Riggins, Hailyn Riggins; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Roy Walden; and a sister, Martha Forseman.
