A memorial service for Ann M. Knight, of Cairo, GA will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Cairo, GA. Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate. Mrs. Knight passed away at her home in Cairo, GA on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Ann was born on July 17, 1949, in Cairo, GA to the late Hiram Majors and Dorothy Newton Majors. On June 10, 1967, she married Joe W. Knight, Jr., who survives. She worked in bookkeeping and accounting throughout her career, having worked with several different companies before her retirement. Ann had a way with people and loved her family dearly. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include:  her husband of 57 years, Joe W. Knight, Jr. of Cairo, GA; her son, Joe Knight, III (Mandy) of Cairo, GA; her daughter, Monica Thompson (David), of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Eva Grace Knight, Charleston, SC, JW Knight, Cairo, GA, Virginia Knight, Cairo, GA, Rylee Truelock, Cairo, GA, Jesse Weaver, Cairo, GA, Rainey Thompson, Cairo, GA, Anna Rae Thompson, Cairo, GA, Andrew Thompson, Cairo, GA; her brother, Paul Majors (Glenda) of Cairo, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Johnny Majors.
