Funeral services for Alice Irene Jones, 75, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 1, 2016, at Pine Forest Baptist Church, Bainbridge, GA. Rev. Conrad Salter will officiate. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Bainbridge, GA. Mrs. Jones passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Saturday, December 26, 2015.

Active pallbearers will be Patrick Williamson, Scott Easom, John Bembry, Eric Smith, Tyler Akridge and Al Akridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Jones and Wayne Thomas.

Mrs. Jones was born on March 13, 1940, in Climax, GA, to the late Claude Salter and Esther Mae Dollar Salter. On August 23, 1964, she married Larry Daniel Jones, who survives. She retired from the Thomas P. Betts Company. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, Bainbridge, GA.

Survivors include: her husband, Larry Daniel Jones of Whigham, GA; daughters, Lori Jones of Cairo, GA, Dana J. Howard (Chris) of Kuna, ID; grandchildren, Leacy Halstead of Whigham, GA, Holly Halstead of Whigham, GA, Grace Howard, Grant Howard and Alivia Howard, all of Kuna, ID; sisters, Bonnie Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX, Dottie Riley (Harold) of Austin, TX, Sue Claymore (Paul) of Houston, TX, Lynda Wilson (Billy Ray) of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Riley Salter, Houston Salter; and a sister, Nell Corlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Jones’ memory to: the Lighthouse Children’s Fund, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
