Alice Maxine Rayburn

Private funeral services for Alice Maxine Rayburn, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Dr. Bob Knight will officiate. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Rayburn passed away at John B. and Elizbeth V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center, Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Mrs. Rayburn was born on December 30, 1944, in Whigham, GA, to the late James Max Hatcher and the late Nettie Lee Long Hatcher. She married Alan Rayburn in 1972, who survives. She was a Warehouse Manager at Warners and later worked at both Southern Pines Senior Living and Magnolia Place Senior Living. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alan Rayburn of Cairo, GA; daughter, Lisa Johnson (Carroll) of Cairo, GA; sister, Lynette Reeves (Ron) of Thomasville, GA; sister-in-law, Sharon Norsworthy (Dale) of Tallahassee, FL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Larry Hatcher.
