Funeral services for Alice Ward Harrison, 70, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Glen Scoggin will officiate. Interment will be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Harrison passed away at her home in Whigham, GA on, Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Harrison was born on July 9, 1949, in Cairo, GA, to the late Rufus Alexander Ward and Betty Albritton Ward. On August 18, 1992, she married Buck Harrison, who survives. She loved working in her garden and tending her cattle. Alice loved life on her H and H Ranch. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include: her husband, Buck Harrison of Whigham, GA; sons, Travis Harrison (Mindy) of Whigham, GA, Gary Harrison of Cairo, GA; daughter, Kim Harrison of Great Falls, Montana; step-son, Shawn Harrison of Pine Park, GA; grandchildren, Alyssa Harrison, Wyatt Harrison, both of Whigham, GA, Justin Harrison, Garrett Harrison, Victoria Harrison, all of Cairo, GA, Trevor Colvin, Jared Harrison, Nicole Burns, Chase Harrison, Jessie Harrison, Jenny Harrison; great-grandson, Parker Colvin; and a sister, Lavern Collett of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Gary Harrison, who preceded her in death in 1988; and a step-son, Troy Harrison.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
