Allen Gregory “Greg” Gilliard

Funeral services for Allen Gregory “Greg” Gilliard, 75, of Pelham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, Georgia. Mr. Gilliard passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Active pallbearers are Kermit Gilliard, Jr., Justin Williams, Keith Gilliard, Robby Gilliard, Owen Gilliard and Ronnie Gilliard. Honorary pallbearers are W.A. Harrell, Kermit Gilliard, Willard Powe and members of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.
Mr. Gilliard was born on December 1, 1948, in Cairo, GA, to the late Rev. A.C. Gilliard and the late Dorothy Latrelle Roland Gilliard. On March 30, 1973, he married Judy Hartsfield Gilliard, and she preceded him in death on September 12, 2009. He was a Facility Engineer at Torrington and was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Michael Gilliard (Sandy) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Whittney Gilliard Peterson (Jeremy) of Donalsonville, GA and Dillan Gilliard (Taylor) of Cairo, GA; great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Gilliard of Cairo, GA; sister-in-law, Janet Hartsfield Palmer (Joe) of Camilla, GA; and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a son, Jeffrey Allen Gilliard.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM.
