Alma Grace Lacey

Graveside funeral services for Alma Grace Lacey, 94, of Cairo, GA, are on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Rev. Andrew Donaldson will officiate. Mrs. Lacey passed away at Rose City Health and Rehab in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Mrs. Lacey was born on June 12, 1926, in Newhall, WV, to the late John William Blankenship and Nannie Bell Lawson. She worked for the U. S. Government in the Defense Plant in New Port News, VA. She was a dedicated member of Eastside Baptist Church in Cairo. She was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the Keenagers and the Senior Adult Quilters.
Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Naomi Lazar of Port Orange FL; grandchildren, Cheri Dawn Magallanes, Scott E. Huffman, Jason Huffman, all of New Port News, VA, Amy Simmons of Clarksville, TN; and several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Francis S. Lacey; son, Gerald Eugene Huffman; step-daughter, Patricia Lynn Link; brothers, Fred Blankenship, Jack Blankenship; and sisters, Flora Conley, Elsie Lanier, Nora Jones.
The family wishes to express love and appreciation to her caregivers, especially Catherine Addison.
