Ann Lee Shupe

Graveside funeral services for Evelyn Ann Lee Shupe, 82, of Tampa, FL, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019, in the Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Charles Parker will officiate. Mrs. Shupe passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
Mrs. Shupe was born on September 7, 1936, in Cairo, GA, to the late Ira Pierce Lee and Irene Womble Lee. On April 2, 1955, she married Charles Shupe, who survives. They were married for 63 years. Ann was an administrative assistant with Blount and Curry Funeral Home in Tampa. She was a member of Carrollwood Baptist Church in Tampa. In her later years, she loved to quilt and do hand crafts. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles Shupe of Tampa, FL: her daughter, Susan Petrirena (Mario) of Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Gregory Petrirena (Sadie) of Decatur, GA, Joshua Simons of St. Petersburg, FL, Samuel Simons of Tampa, FL; brother, Sonny Lee (Natholyn) of Cairo, GA; sister, Martha Clyatt (Gordon) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Angela Shupe Simons; and a sister, Billie Faye Williams.

The family will receive friends in the Cairo Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
