Private graveside funeral services for Archester “Chester” Pearce, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Capel Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. American Legion Post #122 will present Military Honors. Mr. Pearce passed away at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2018.
Mr. Pearce was born on September 6, 1937, in Cairo, GA, to the late Ivey Pearce and Mamie Clyde Hurst Pearce. Chester served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed master plumber and master electrician. He was of the Christian faith. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and genealogy. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include: daughters, Teresa Carpenter (Mike) of Cairo, GA, Cynthia Pearce of Cairo, GA; son, Robert Pearce (Tina) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Martina Pearce Conley (Cameron) of Hahira, GA; great-granddaughter, Cambry Ann Conley; brother, Douglas Pearce (Dot) of Cairo, GA; sister, Myrtice Hurst of Camilla, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Chester has a special group of friends that meet at Hardee’s on Thursdays and Saturdays each week.
He was preceded in death by: parents; the mother of his children, Georgia Nell Pearce; brothers, Albert Pearce, Johnny Pearce, Alton Pearce, Alvin Pearce, Winford Pearce, Randall Pearce, Leo Pearce; sisters, Shirley Gilliard, Frances Sellars.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
