Betty Brown Clark, 86, of Whigham, GA, passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Thursday, June 1, 2017. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Clark was born on April 3, 1931, in South Norfolk, VA, to the late Joseph Brown and Clara Edith Brothers Brown. She was married to Henry Norwood Clark, Jr., who preceded her in death on June 3, 2013. She worked at the Whigham High School Cafeteria until her retirement. She was a member of the Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her daughters, Anna Palmer (Ricky) of Coolidge, GA, Bonnie Poppell of Whigham, GA, Mary Harrison of Cairo, GA, Clara Holland (Jerry) of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Deven Clark Killough of Whigham, GA, Justin David Harrison of Whigham, GA, Jordan Clark Harrison of Whigham, GA, Hayden Clark Palmer of Coolidge, GA; great-grandchildren, Nolan Killough, Avery Killough, both of Leesburg, GA; sisters, Annie Maude Wilkins of Virginia, Shirley Tynone of Philadelphia, PA, Joan Moore of Chesapeake, VA ; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ealy of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her daughter, Betsy Clark Turner; four sisters; five brothers; and sons-in-laws, Jimmy Poppell, Mark Crawford.
