Visitation for Brenda Sue Kelly, 62, of Cairo, GA, is from 5:00 until 6:30 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Kelly passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Mrs. Kelly was born on June 19, 1962, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the late Alvin Clyde and Evelyn Fattig Clyde. On July 28, 2006, she married Patrick Joseph “Joe” Kelly, who survives. Brenda was a beloved elementary school teacher in Grady County for over twenty eight years. She particularly loved teaching the second grade. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend to anyone she ever met. She was also an excellent cook, and fed the masses of friends and family that were consistently visiting hers and Joe’s home.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Joseph Kelly; sons, Zack Jenkins of Cairo, GA and Dusty Jenkins (Ciara) of Yulee, FL; step-daughters, Heather Kelly (David) of Tallahassee, FL and Caprice Bowman (Leland) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Tatum Jenkins, Ricky Jack Jenkins and Olive Jenkins; siblings, Connie Gray (Carlos) of Carmel, NY, Karen Foster of Green Valley, AZ, Pat Clyde of Green Valley, AZ, Dan Clyde of Salida, CA, Rod Clyde of Washington State; as well as nieces and great-nephews Heather, Lorena, Karri, and Cacie, Jake, Jaden, Damon, Jarret, and Shawn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be forever missed.
