Services for Brunell Kinchen Tyus, 84, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Keith Parks and Rev. Matt Peek will officiate. Interment will be in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Tyus passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Sunday, February 21, 2016.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Wesley Tyus, Stephen Tyus, Brandt Sims, Bobby Cutts, Robert Persons and Seth Peavy.
Mrs. Tyus was born on January 5, 1932, in Cairo, GA, to the late Hiram Kinchen and Addie Pearl Kinchen. On September 23, 1951, she married Lewis Christopher Tyus, Sr., who passed away on October 28, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a devoted member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: children and spouses, Lewis Christopher Tyus, Jr. (Chris) of Shellman, GA, Susan Tyus Denson (Steve) of Moultrie, GA, Benjamin H. Tyus (Fay) of Cochran, GA, Stephen Guin Tyus (Cindy) of Moultire, GA; grandchildren, Wesley Tyus (Lane) of Hamilton, GA, Amy Persons (Robert) of Columbus, GA, Alicia Sims (Brandt) of Moultrie, GA, Anna Cutts (Bobby) of Moultrie, GA, Elizabeth Peavy (Seth) of Harlem, GA, Emily Tyus, of Cochran, GA, Leigh Anna Peek (Matt) of Pelham, GA, Stephen Tyus , Julie Tyus, both of Moultrie, GA; great-grandchildren, Cam and Cade Tyus of Hamilton, GA, Harrison and Noah Sims, both of Moultrie, GA, Parker and Paul Cutts, both of Moultrie, GA, Maddie Claire, John David, and Ellie Grace Peek, all of Pelham, GA, Addie Persons of Columbus, GA; sisters, Martha K. Lovett (John) of Cairo, GA, Kathryn K. Dugger (Cecil) of St. Simons Island, GA; and sister-in-law, Annie T. Parks of Cairo, GA.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers-in-law, Rev. Lester Parks and Franklin Tyus; and sister-in-law, Margaret Tyus.

The family will receive friends at Long Branch Baptist Church, 17th Ave. NE, Cairo, GA, 39827, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, from 6 until 8:00 p.m.
