Funeral services for Carolyn Brinson Jordan, 81, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Capel Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Stan Godwin and Rev. Robert Crapps will officiate. Interment will be in Capel Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Jordan passed away at the Golden Living Center in Thomasville, GA, on Friday morning, November 4, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be: Joey Ferrell, Frank Jones, Randy Smith, Ladon Sellers, Manus Courtney and Brian Maloney.

Mrs. Jordan was born on September 27, 1935, in Cairo, GA, to the late Gaines K. Brinson and Mervin Pauline Finney Brinson. She was married to Gwinn Jordan, who preceded her in death on October 28, 1999. She worked as a seamstress for many years with Warners Clothing in Thomasville, GA. She was a member of Capel Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughters, Ann Hunter (Ron) of Moultrie, GA, Brenda Jordan of Thomasville, GA, Linda Smith (Mike) of Bradenton, FL; son, Richard Jordan (Joy) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hunter (Rachael) of Warner Robins, GA, Patrick Hunter (Miriam) of Hahira, GA, Julie Hunter of Moultrie, GA, Madison Brinson of Bradenton, FL, Breanna Jordan of Cairo, GA, Colton Jordan of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Marshall Hunter, Michael Hunter, both of Warner Robins, GA, Azelie Hunter of Hahira, GA; sister, Louise McRae of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sister, Sarah Frances; and brothers, Jack Brinson, Billy Brinson, Hoover Brinson, Joe Brinson, Ray Brinson.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
