CAROLYN R. CROMER
April 2, 1944 — August 16, 2023

Funeral services for Carolyn R. Cromer, 79, of Cairo, GA will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Jason Bennett will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Americus, GA. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service. Mrs. Carolyn passed away peacefully at Magnolia Manor in Moultrie, GA on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Carolyn was born in Plains, GA on April 2, 1944, to the late Clarence Ryan and Jewel Crawley Ryan. She was happily married to Johnny William Cromer, Sr. for over 30 years before his passing on September 25, 1996. Mrs. Carolyn spent her working career as a seamstress. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cairo First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her four children: Johnny W. Cromer, Jr. (Brenda) of Thomasville, GA, Paul Cromer (Renee) of Reno, GA, Christopher D. Cromer (Nita) of Pelham, GA, Patti C. Collins of Whigham, GA; her grandchildren, Trey Cromer (Keri), Josh Cromer, Jordan Cromer (Tim), P J Cromer (Nicole), Jill Cook (Greg), Jamie Cromer (Jennifer), Chris Cromer (Bridgette), Jodie Landers (Dan), Lacey Welch (Austin), Matthew Cromer (Ivey), Becca Hester (Cameron); her 19 great grandchildren; her brother, J B Ryan; her sisters, Charlotte Wilkes, Mary Preskitt; her half – sister, Dorothy McLemore and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Anthony Scott Cromer and sisters, Debbie Lee, Betty Crawley, Bert Brock and Rosemary Coker, and a half-brother, C. B. Ryan, Jr.
