Charles Dahl Johnson
December 2, 1941 – February 25, 2023

Graveside memorial services for Charles Dahl Johnson, 81, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2023, in Pine Park Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jimmy Ausburn will officiate.  Mr. Johnson passed away at Bainbridge Health and Rehab in Bainbridge, GA, on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Mr. Johnson was born on December 2, 1941, in Cairo, GA, to the late Rev. LV Johnson and Lavene Willis Johnson.  He served his country in the United States Army.  On October 26, 1962, he married Kay Flynt Johnson, who survives.  They were married for over 60 years.  He worked with M Inc. of Tallahassee for many years in the land clearing operations. Dahl was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Kay Johnson of Whigham, GA; children, Dahl Johnson (Belinda) of Cairo, GA, John Flynt Johnson (Sharon) of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Peyton Johnson (fiancé, Casey Latta) of Coolidge, GA, Reagan Johnson of Milledgeville, GA, Austin Payne (fiancée, Sonya Gonzalez) of Thomasville, GA, Garrett Payne  (Princelia Reyes) of Thomasville, GA; 3 great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Scewilla Elliott (Robert) of Ft. Mitchell, AL; brother-in-law, John M. Flynt of Idledale, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dianne Johnson Gibson and her husband, Gene.
